Biography:
Ashlyn is focused on Biological Sciences, Elementary Education, Scientific Diving.
Ashlyn is the Education Coordinator for Mote’s Upper Keys locations, including Key Largo and Islamorada. With her educational background in Biology, and her extensive work with children and youth groups, she is able to provide a wide array of curriculum relating to Marine Science and Conservation to the local community and beyond. Her professional background includes an Aquarist internship at the Frost Museum of Science, as well as Coral Restoration volunteer work with multiple local organizations. Ashlyn gained her passion for the ocean at a young age through her Dad, who provided her an early introduction and appreciation. With her Mom having 20+ years in elementary education, Ashlyn’s teaching abilities came naturally. She currently leads varying programs that provide essential information on Mote’s Coral Restoration efforts, as well as related subjects that strive to connect upcoming generations with the importance of conserving our natural ecosystems.
