Biography:
Rachel comes from Nashville, TN where she had a varied career in education, human services, finance and legal research before settling in Sarasota to be closer to her husband’s family. Upon becoming part of this beautiful community, she fell in love with the diverse wildlife and flora. She decided she wanted to be a part of working to preserve our precious environment, particularly our beautiful and vital oceans.
Using her sundry experience in the Executive Office is a way that she can help our scientific heroes save our planet. “I’m not a scientist, but I can do what I know to make it easier for our staff to do what they do best- restore our coral reefs, preserve endangered species, create sustainable food sources, engender a strong blue economy, and educate our community for a better future.”
