Kids around the world can watch “Sharks Alive!” – a free webcast by Mote Marine Laboratory via Google Hangouts and Youtube from 10 – 10:25 a.m. EST on Earth Day, April 22.
“Sharks Alive!” will focus on shark research at Mote Marine Laboratory — home to the nation’s only Center for Shark Research designated by congress. The program will begin with an overview of shark care and training at Mote’s informal science education center, The Aquarium at Mote, and then describe the technology we use in our research.
The program, geared toward kids in grades 6-8, is offered to the general public through Google Hangouts and is available to a limited number of classrooms through Google’s Connected Classrooms program, which allows participating classes to chat with Mote educators during a question-and-answer session.
Where to watch it:
- Watch “Sharks Alive!” when it airs at 10 a.m., April 22 on Youtube
