Range & Habitat:
Peppermint shrimp are native to Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. They are most commonly found anywhere from Key West to Cedar Key, Florida.

Peppermint shrimp have a vibrant reddish/brown body with white striping.
They are hermaphroditic, meaning they have both female and male reproductive organs. They can produce up to 300 eggs in each batch! 11-12 days after eggs are laid, the eggs will hatch.
