Size:

Peppermint shrimp are tiny, only reaching a size of 1.25 - 2.25 inches (3.175 - 5.715 centimeters).

Diet:

Peppermint shrimp are scavengers and cleaners. They feed off of debris and parasites from other animals.

Range & Habitat:

Peppermint shrimp are native to Florida and the Gulf of Mexico. They are most commonly found anywhere from Key West to Cedar Key, Florida.

Details:

Peppermint shrimp have a vibrant reddish/brown body with white striping. 

They are hermaphroditic, meaning they have both female and male reproductive organs. They can produce up to 300 eggs in each batch! 11-12 days after eggs are laid, the eggs will hatch.
