Diet:

Axolotls are carnivores, eating other amphibians, fish, insects, mollusks and worms to sustain themselves.

Range & Habitat:

Axolotls are native to Mexico City, living in wetlands, ponds, lakes and canals.

Details:

Axolotls exist in a variety of colors, ranging from dark browns and greens to albino (pinkish-white). They have feathery gills on the outside of their bodies and finned tails that make them great swimmers. Females have rounder, more plump bodies.
